Snow Princess2nd Birthday

I have been planning Peanuts 2nd birthday party since the day after Daddys birthday party.  My husband thinks I am crazy.  I got my inspiration from a party I saw on Hostess With the Mostess: http://www.hostessblog.com/

I will post pictures of the final project, the party is this Sunday.  This party was so great, even though it was a wedding it is appropriate for all ages.  I added lavender so that I could throw Dora into the mix.  She will only be added in very small touches.  The main focus will be the snow flakes.

Hicks in the Sticks Birthday

Just wanted to post some pictures from the Bossmans surprise 30th birthday.  The theme was Hicks in the Sticks.  We asked everyone to wear flannel.   I was having a hard time finding/creating masculine decorations.  I was thinking metal, wood, camo color scheme.  I held the party at a local tavern, they have great pizza and wings.  Even better than the party was the fact that Bossmans college friends drove so far to come.  That really made the party so great.  He was so surprised.

camo table cloth, river rocks scattered on the table, tree slice platters, metal garden cart, mason jars with pine brances

man food: a whole crock pot of queso dip and yes those are ashtrays (clean of course) filled with mixed nuts

Might As Well.....

As if I don't have enough on my plate, why not start a blog.  I am a mother of a two year old girl, the Peanut Princess, wife to my husband of four, wait, five years and I am a dental hygienist working full time.  I decided to start a blog because every day that goes by I can not help thinking how fast Peanut is growing up and since my memory is not great, see above reference to my anniversary year, I want/need to remember everything.
For example, my office was closed this week for the holiday and I was home with Peanut.  We are currently sitting in our living room and she is in her mini recliner watching her favorite show.... Dora.  I haven't heard a peep out of her in 20 minutes.  This girl can not get enough of that chipper bi-lingual smarty pants Dora and since Boots is a monkey of course he is the funniest thing in the world.  Peanut, at 2 years old, actually said "gracias" to me the other day.  She also tells me every morning when I go into her room to get her up, "Hi Momma, I am so happy to see you."  I just melt.  She is by far the most important thing in my life.
So long to short, this blog will be keeping tabs on Peanut and the loveliness that is her daily life. I also love crafting and will definately have some posts of my projects.  I love hosting and decorating for parties.  I have plenty of posts for them that I would love to share.  I am a beginner level with sewing even though I have been doing it since i was 7 or so.  Did I mention that I lack in the memory retention department.
Well lets see how this goes.... if I can remember my password to log in again.
